St. Jacob of Alaska Orthodox Christian Mission is the only full-time Orthodox Christian Church in Marquette and Alger County, Michigan, an area with a population of 75,000 people. We started in venue space, rented in four-hour increments; in 2022, God granted us half of the ground level of an old middle school, for which we are incredibly grateful! But in order to sustain substantial growth, provide a sense of permanence, and be a more visible light to our community, we need a permanent building.
